A Tool Library Membership for Every Need

The Tool Library is Perfect for Year-Round Projects

If you’ve got a winter “honey-do” list, the Tool Library can help.

Whether you’re tackling new faucets for the bathroom sink or shower, replacing kitchen cupboards, or installing new floor covering in the living room, rent the tools you need with an affordable Tool Library membership.

Why Buy Tools When You Can Rent Them Instead?

The Tool Library has more than 4,800 tools available for loan. It is open Monday through Thursday in the winter, and memberships usually cost less than what you’d pay for only a few tools.

Individual memberships start at $50 per year, and only $25 for students, seniors, and Veterans.

Or, choose a 30-day Special Project membership for just $15.

If you own multiple properties, your individual membership starts at $50 per year for the first property, and only $25 per year for each additional property.

Can’t Afford a Membership? Use Our Homeownership Sustainability Program

We understand that maintaining your home can be costly. That’s why we’ve created an income-based membership program.

We use local HUD Income Guidelines and your personal income information to determine a fair membership rate for you based on the number of people in your home and your total household income. Learn more on the Tool Library page.

Renting? Use Our Renter Membership

If you are renting and you have written permission from your landlord to make certain repairs or home improvements, you may be eligible for our Renter/Tenant Membership. Download and complete our Tenant Member Application from the Tool Library page, and return it to us to determine eligibility.

Nonprofit or Community Garden? Use Our Nonprofit Membership

We offer a variety of Tool Library membership options for nonprofit organizations and community gardens, and fees are based on your total annual revenue. Small nonprofits with revenue below $50,000 per year are eligible for a free Tool Library membership.

We even offer low-cost memberships for educators with proof of identification and confirmation from the school principal at your location.

Visit the Tool Library page for details, online forms, and applications. We help you maintain your home affordably, indoors and out, in every season of the year.
